I’ve worked with hundreds of runners dealing with knee pain, hip pain, and foot issues. Most of them come to me after being told to either take medications or stop running altogether. But let’s be honest – runners don’t like being told to stop.
Running is more than just exercise for many people. It’s their escape, their therapy, and their community. We have a lot of running clubs around Davie, and for many, it’s where they go to bond and achieve their personal milestones. How many times can you say, “I ran a marathon this weekend”? It’s hard to accept when someone tells you not to do that.
This is why so many people end up at Ageless Agility as a last resort. They’ve had multiple injections – one in their hip, one in their knee – been prescribed anti-inflammatories, and yet they still can’t run.
One of the biggest lessons I learned during my own surgery was that I really shouldn’t have gone under the knife. With the right rehab, I could have become stronger, more mobile, and more confident without the need for surgery. This realization shaped how I approach Ageless Agility today.
My mission is to help runners avoid surgery, injections, and unnecessary pain because pain doesn’t mean you have to stop running. It means we need to address the root cause of the pain.
Someone once told me that pain is a signal, not a stop sign. If you start experiencing pain, we don’t just stop, we carry out an assessment, and we look at the whole picture. Why is your knee hurting? Is it coming from your hip or your back? Is there a weakness in your foot? We evaluate the whole person to determine what we can do to help you keep running
