The Ageless Running Performance Assessment

Find Out Why You're Getting Hurt, Before Your Next Race Does

A complete running evaluation with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. We look at your mechanics, strength, mobility, and injury risk to help you understand what’s happening when you run.

Stop Guessing. Start Understanding.

Most runners never get an actual assessment. They get told “just rest.” They buy a different pair of shoes. They change their mileage. They search for exercises online or follow generic advice from a running forum. None of that tells you what’s actually happening when YOUR body is running.

Your body is unique, and the way you run is unique. Two runners can have the exact same knee, hip, or Achilles pain and have completely different reasons for why it developed.

That’s why we don’t just look at where it hurts. During a Running Assessment, we look at how your body moves while you run, how well you’re able to produce and control force, where you may have strength or mobility limitations, and how those factors could be affecting the way you handle the demands of running.

What's Included in your Running Assessment

  • Video gait analysis: foot strike, cadence, hip drop, knee position, trunk lean and other key running mechanics
  • Strength & mobility screen: single-leg control, hip stability, ankle mobility, and other factors that influence how you move and handle running demands
  • Injury-risk breakdown: identify movement patterns, strength deficits, and mobility limitations that may be contributing to your current pain or could increase your risk of future injury
  • One-on-one walkthrough with a Doctor of Physical Therapy: your findings explained clearly, with no confusing jargon
  • Comprehensive personalized running report: a detailed breakdown of your assessment, including screenshots from your running analysis, key findings, movement and strength assessments, injury implications, and specific areas to focus on. You leave with a complete visual record of what we found and a better understanding of your running.

What Happens During Your Visit

Your Running Assessment takes place over two visits, giving us time to evaluate how you run, understand your concerns, and then walk you through exactly what we found.

Visit 1: Initial Evaluation

You’ll meet one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy to discuss your running history, concerns, and goals. Then, we’ll film you running on a treadmill from multiple angles so we can take a closer look at your running mechanics and movement patterns.

Visit 2: Results & Next Steps

At your follow-up, your Doctor of Physical Therapy will walk you through your comprehensive personalized running report, explain their findings, and show you the areas that may be contributing to your concerns. You’ll also learn exercises specific to your needs and begin developing a plan to help you work toward your running goals.

Who Is a Running Assessment For?

  1. Runners dealing with pain or an injury who don’t want to simply stop running
  2. Healthy runners who want to identify potential issues before they become injuries, especially before race season
  3. Runners returning after time off who want to make sure they’re ready to build back safely
  4. Runners who have been told to “just rest” but want to understand why they’re hurting and what they can actually do about it
